A UK healthcare company, which has just opened at the Riverstown Industrial Estate, Tramore, is to be promoted as the magnet to attract even more high profile national and international businesses to the seaside town.
Vindon Scientific Limited, part of the Vindon Healthcare group and regarded as the leading supplier of controlled environmental testing chambers in the UK and Eire, selected Tramore because of its proximity to the regional airport and because of the links between the airport and Manchester.
At present employment is in single digits but the company is confident of providing further opportunities as the business expands.
At a meeting of Tramore Town Council last week, the Town Manager, Brian White paid tribute to Vindon Scientific with two additional sites to be advertised for sale on the Business Park he said it was hoped to encourage even more high profile companies to locate in Tramore.
The new stability storage facility is part of a €500,000 investment by Vindon Scientific in Tramore.
At the opening of the new state-of-the-art facility, Director Patrick Jackson said, “this investment emphasises our commitment to service the Irish pharmaceutical sector. We have been able to do this through listening to our clients’ requirements, developing an advanced stability storage facility that could be viewed as a model of how to implement a new supplier responsibility initiative for stability storage.
Ireleand’s performance to date in the pharmaceutical sector has been stunning and has led to Vindon opening this facility in Tramore”.
Distinguished by its high end features such as remote alarm monitoring and CCTV, it is expected that the Tramore Business Park facility will not only enhance delivery of stability trials but also will allow companies to store small and large quantities of product at most temperatures and humidities.
With the oepening of the new stability storage suite in Tramore, scientists at pharmaceutical laboratories and contract laboratories in Ireland will be getting a much needed resource for their research projects.
“This new storage facility will provide scientists with an invaluable resource to aid them in co-operative efforts to,” said Vince Frodsham Sales Manager for Vindon Scientific.
The Tramore stability storage suite is available to provide cost effective solutions to the pharmaceutical, medical and related industries whether for temporary or long-term storage
